Lingo: Examples

Lingo: is a java application that allows users to create a custom flash-card learning system by defining their own flash-card sets using simple text files. Lingo: can present text, GIF-images and even foreign scripts, special characters and phrases provided they can be coded using the Unicode character set.

System Requirements

You will need the Java Runtime Environment to run Lingo: on your computer. Chances are you will already have this, but if you don't or if you have an old version (< version 5) you can obtain the latest JRE from:

In order to display foreign scripts and diacritic transliteration marks (for tonal languages such as Mandarin or Thai), your system will need to have access to the Arial Unicode font. Windows XP/Vista should come with this font installed, otherwise see:
